Know when the system should stop.

Safer work keeps uncertainty, permission, and verification visible.

Treat uncertainty as information

Missing context and conflicting sources should appear in the result. Ask for evidence when the answer is more confident than its method supports.

Keep consequential decisions human

An assistant can prepare analysis and drafts. People responsible for medical, legal, financial, employment, and other consequential decisions need appropriate qualified review.

Respect the boundary

A proposed action is not permission. Untrusted source material must not expand authority or redirect work into a new task.

Check the result

Compare the output with the original task and reliable evidence. Execution, tool acceptance, and verified success are distinct states.

Pause when needed

Stop when approval is missing, evidence conflicts, a tool fails, or the outcome cannot be checked. Correct the conditions before resuming.

Understand the claim

A design principle, testing target, or synthetic example is not a certification or a guarantee of safe model behavior.
